The Slim Factor

MY STORY

How I Lost 81 Pounds — and Have Kept It Off for over 15 Years

Once you know what’s possible, you’ll never go back.

You’ve tried the diets. You’ve done the meal plans and the gym memberships. Maybe you’ve lost weight before — even a lot of it — only to watch it come back. If you’re wondering whether anything actually works long-term, I understand. I was right where you are.

THE WALL

I was 199 pounds when I weighed in at the hospital before my second child was born. I remember thinking, “At least I’m not 200.”

After he arrived, I quickly lost 27 pounds — then I hit a wall. For two years, I was stuck at 172. I tried almost everything — the trendy programs, the meal replacements, the gym memberships, even liposuction — nothing broke that plateau.

Being heavy was uncomfortable — physically, mentally, emotionally.

Things got so bad that when I started a new diet, my husband laughed at me, like me going on a diet was a joke. Shaking his head, he’d say, “I’ll love you no matter how much you weigh.”

But this wasn’t about his love. This was about my love for myself. For my body. My health. For how I felt. My quality of life. And the messages I was sending my children by not taking care of myself.

THE SHIFT

Months later, a high school friend shared on a social media platform that he’d just lost 20 pounds and how great he felt. I asked how he’d done it. He replied: “Just counting calories!” I figured if he could do it, so could I.

So I started a calorie-counting plan. Three months later, I hadn’t lost one pound.

Disappointed after another lackluster weigh-in, I caught my reflection, took a hard look in the mirror and admitted what I’d been avoiding — I’d been lying to myself about how much I was eating. I made a quiet, honest decision. I was done looking for the next quick fix.

Lest I be laughed at, this time, I said nothing. Went into stealth mode researching how to overcome food cravings, studying portion sizes, food substitution, even mindset. Pretty soon I’d developed a new way of eating.

I called this the QUAAD Plan.

QUAAD regulated my appetite, balanced my blood sugar and energy levels — and I was truly satisfied. Eating by QUAAD, I discovered something revolutionary: working out was counterproductive to weight loss. When I ate by QUAAD and walked instead of working out, I had fewer cravings, and I felt a thousand times better — physically, mentally, and emotionally.

The first 40 pounds rolled off in four months.

I became fascinated by the connection between the mind and the body — how our self-image, our habits, and our metabolism are all linked.

THE DISCOVERY

Losing this weight was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. It was a thousand times harder than completing my college degree at 37 while raising two young boys.

While losing the last fourteen pounds, I learned to place my mind above whatever food was calling to me and make those messages unimportant — while making living a balanced life more fulfilling than any food or dessert.

In 2012, I started a daily breathing meditation. That’s when I noticed the subconscious messages that were still quietly attempting to derail me and I silently flipped them.

The Slim Factor is what I use to see myself through harmful food cravings like they’re nothing. Like flipping on a light switch, it takes little effort. But you have to train yourself to use it so that, like any other muscle, it works when you need it most.

Once I began consistently activating this, I completely lost the urge to overeat.

WHERE I AM NOW

Juhl Khallen today, maintaining her 81-pound transformation

I went from 199 to 118 — an 81-pound total transformation.

My blood pressure dropped from 128/72 to 91/54 — the level of a professional athlete. A liver cyst that had put me in excruciating pain for hours disappeared. My health isn’t just restored — it’s better than ever.

That was over fifteen years ago. 116 to 121 is now a very comfortable weight for me. Thanks to QUAAD and the Slim Factor, I easily stay here and feel great.

I’ve since gone through perimenopause. I still eat chocolate. I still don’t have a gym membership and when anyone asks about my exercise regimen, I laugh and say, I’m slim because of the Slim Factor.

What I Learned About Pleasure

The problem was never pleasure. The problem was that I’d thought food provided me with pleasure. But that pleasure was fake — it never lasted, never fully satisfied, and punished me shamelessly the moment the plate was empty. There was never enough food to fill that emptiness within.

Real pleasure doesn’t do that. Real pleasure — from food, from movement, from being in your own skin, from living life to its fullest — builds you. It doesn’t cost you.

Once I learned this, food found its right size in my life. And there’s been room for everything else ever since.

WHAT I BUILT FOR YOU

Juhl Khallen celebrating her transformation

I created The Slim Factor — an online weight loss course — so you too can have a similar experience, and get there so much faster than I did.

Real Results

“If you want to lose those extra pounds for good, you should jump at this opportunity. It can transform your life just how it did mine.”

When I met Juhl, one of the things that stood out about her is that she wasn’t like most women I knew. She was slender, healthy, and vibrant. She also ate and drank whatever she wanted, and she was never stressed out about food. One day she told me that years ago she’d lost over 50 pounds. At the time, I was 30 pounds overweight. I asked Juhl where she worked out and what her secret was. She laughed and said she never worked out.

We met just a few times. She explained her system of eating. I followed what she told me and within about three months the extra weight was gone. I learned how to eat the right way and not worry about food. What Juhl teaches is so simple that today, six years later, I still eat this way. I eat what I want, and I’ve never had an issue with my weight again.
